Alex Cairns IS currently with Leeds United. Born on 4 January 1993 in Doncaster, he began his career in the Leeds United academy, making his professional debut with the club before moving on to build a solid career in the English Football League.

After spells with Chesterfield and Rotherham United, Cairns established himself as first-choice keeper at Fleetwood Town, where he made over 200 appearances and became known for his reliability and leadership in goal.

In January 2023 he joined Salford City on loan, later signing permanently and becoming a key figure and captain, making 77 appearances and helping the team with consistent performances. In July 2024 he returned to Leeds United on a two-year deal, bringing valuable experience and depth to the goalkeeping department. Cairns is recognised for his shot-stopping ability, professionalism, and extensive EFL experience across League One and League Two, contributing over 300 senior appearances in his career.
