Standing at an imposing 2.03m (6’8”), Dutch goalkeeper Andries Noppert has become one of the most recognisable shot-stoppers in European football. Born in Heerenveen on 7 April 1994, Noppert began his football journey with his hometown club before building a career defined by resilience, determination and belief.

After progressing through the academy of SC Heerenveen, Noppert started his senior career in the Netherlands before gaining experience with clubs including NAC Breda, Calcio Foggia 1920, FC Dordrecht and Go Ahead Eagles. His journey through different leagues and countries helped shape his commanding presence in goal and reputation as a dependable last line of defence.

In 2022, Noppert returned to SC Heerenveen and quickly impressed with a series of strong performances that propelled him into the spotlight. That same year, he received his first call-up to the Netherlands national football team and made his international debut during the opening match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Senegal national football team.
