How to Measure Your Hand Size

If this is your first ever hand sizing, remember that if your pair of OGs are unused and in original packaging they can always be exchanged for a size up or down.

1. Measure your palm horizontally, as per the guide below, not measuring past the red line.

2. Compare to the chart on the Size Guide tab.

3. If you need further assistance with sizing, please reach out to our team on support@theoneglove.com, or print our handy guide (pun intended).

Every keeper has a different personal preference on the tightness or looseness, so you won't truly know your perfect size until you try a pair.

Tip: You do not want your gloves too tight and touching the very tips of the fingers, nor do you want too much excess space causing it to feel "floppy". A glove that is too tight could tear/rip easier and a glove too spacious won't instill confidence.

The Importance of Getting the Right Fit for Your Goalkeeping Gloves

Getting the fit right is extremely important, a correctly fitting glove means more comfort, more confidence and the most natural contact with the ball. A glove too tight can put greater stress on the materials and lead to premature wear or even splits, a glove too loose could cause an unnatural grip of the ball. With that said glove fits are a personal preference, some may prefer more space and others a more snug feel (which is why you will see some keepers opt for tighter cuts like 'Negative', or some the looser cuts like 'Flat Palm' or 'Roll Finger').

As a general rule, you measure your goalkeeping gloves from the tip of your middle finger and down to the bottom of your palm. However, you may want to consider taking into account the thickness of the goalkeeper glove, as this will inevitably add a little extra bulk to the measure. We advise that adding 0.5cm to your measurement (for purposes of caution) in order to allow for a little bit more room in your glove. For further accuracy, use our glove sizing tool print out.

If your glove arrives and it isn’t quite right or wasn’t what you’re expecting then consult our returns policy for further information.

    Additional Information

Different styles and designs can sometimes differ, our guides are your best chance at finding the best fit and remember...you can always return them to exchange for another size (as long as they are not used and in original condition!).

No different to how we have outlined above! Measure the width of the palm and then compare to our handy table outlining the sizes.

What Size Football Gloves for a 13 Year Old?

At this age every child grows at different rates so it is impossible to say accurately. As a ballpark, it is likely your 13 year old's goalie glove size is around 6-8. But we would always recommend measuring using the guide above. Different brands can also come up differently.

What Size Goalie Gloves for a Man?

The average man's hand size is a size 9, however individual hand sizing will of course vary. Print of our sizing tool for the most accurate recommendation and remember, you can always exchange if unused and in original condition.

Do Women Have Different Goalie Glove Sizing?

The sizing remains the same however women naturally have smaller palms, the average size is typically between 7-8. It is also not unusual for women goalkeepers to have slimmer fingers vs their male counterparts, in which case you may want to opt for a tighter and snug fitting cut like our "Negative" or "SL". These cuts really hug your fingers.
