Mark Howard now plays for Salford City. Mark has built a long and experienced career across the English Football League and Scottish Premiership. 

Howard began his career in the youth system at Arsenal before gaining senior experience with clubs including St Mirren, Aberdeen, Sheffield United, Bolton Wanderers and Blackpool. During his time at Sheffield United he set a club record of eight consecutive clean sheets. 

Later spells at Scunthorpe United, Carlisle United and Wrexham added further experience before he joined Salford City in 2025. Known for his professionalism, leadership and reliability, Howard brings veteran experience and composure between the posts.
