Rachael "Lawsy" Laws first played for Liverpool during the 2013 season of the Women's Super League. She played 9 games and helped them win the title while battling for a place in the first team.
Laws later signed for Sunderland in December 2013 going on to make 36 appearances in the WSL. After Sunderland were denied a place in the 2018–19 WSL, she joined Reading. In June 2020, Reading announced that Laws had left the club after her contract had expired.
She then re-joined recently relegated side Liverpool F.C. Women in July 2020 where she made an immediate impact, winning the Golden Glove with 13 clean sheets and securing promotion back to the WSL winning the FA Women's Championship. Laws continues to play at Liverpool today, currently tallying 57 apps.
